Rory Lee Lead Makeup Artist & CEO
Rory Lee is CEO and Lead makeup artist of MakeupByRory, Inc. As an international makeup artist,
Rory quickly garnered a reputation for her creativity and having a knack for working with diverse
clientele in multi ethnic environments. Rory’s work can be seen on TV & film, commercials, fashion
& entertainment, music videos, sports and print. Rory’s multi-faceted production work experience
has served TV networks such as: ABC, NBC, FOX, CNN, PBS, MTV, BET & Lifetime. She has also
worked with NFL films for Super Bowl and The Miami Heat.
Rory’s love of fashion and entertainment collided with her corporate leadership skills which
resulted with a company in demand that books freelance hair, makeup, and wardrobe stylists.
With her entrepreneurial background in management, training & product development, Rory
acquired the ability to work well under pressure in demanding environments. She is a visionary
and is a proven leader with transferrable skills. Rory also serves as a consultant, trainer, and
educator. She has mentored and supported countless freelancers in developing their business.
Educated in The Bahamas, Switzerland and The United States. Rory’s professional background
experience derives from proven corporate success in Regional Management for TJX, PR for
McDonald’s and as Training Director for Mary Kay. Having studied chemistry, she used that
experience to launch her namesake line of prestige products, Makeup By Rory Lee.
One of Rory’s passions is being able to help empower young women. She is the Founder of
Our Girls Enrichment Program, which is a 501c3 non profit created to enrich and empower
young women through innovative makeup artist and life skills workshops. These inspiring
workshops are confidence building, life-lessons for “OUR GIRLS” to discover their beauty
from the inside out.
MakeupByRory, Inc and Our Girls are recorded in Miami’s Black Archives. Actively giving back
to the community, Rory is an advocate and member of The Florida Film Production Coalition,
Miami-Dade Chamber of Commerce, Women’s Business Council, ICABA Organization and
Redeeming Word Church. Her company was featured twice in South Florida Entrepreneur’s
Section of Who’s Who – South Florida and an ICABA Top 100 Community Leader.
Rory Lee is an award winner as one of Legacy’s Most Powerful and Influential Black
Professionals in Business & Industry for 2015. She was also nominated and selected to attend
the inaugural White House Women’s summit in 2016 as a ‘Change Maker’ for her
philanthropy work and leadership.
